About Us
Our school has wonderful, purpose built facilities. Our permanent Exhibition Hall showcases pupils’ work from all subject areas. The recital area allows pupils to enjoy watching each other perform. The school’s Debating Chamber and Student Leadership Council area give opportunities for pupils to argue, debate and challenge each other whilst testing out ideas.
The school’s curriculum has been designed to meet the needs of today’s pupils and help them thrive amidst the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow’s world. At the end of Year 9 pupils are given an element of choice in their curriculum, choosing from performing or creative arts, sports and technology subjects. The Whitstable School is an IB World School.
At The Whitstable School, we know all of our pupils and take the time to support and guide them towards targets and goals that are realistic and personalised. Whilst grades are important, school is about so much more than academic achievement. We seek to celebrate our pupils’ talents and skills at every opportunity and are proud of what we achieve together as a school community. Pupil voice is gathered regularly to enable our pupil body to help shape their school.

As part of the Swale Academies Trust, which includes over 19 schools, we benefit from shared resources and collaborative support to offer the best for our pupils. Through the trust, we access valuable resources, exchange knowledge with other educators and leaders, and work with external agencies to enrich our students’ learning experiences. The Swale Academies Trust is a key asset, enhancing support for the Whitstable School within a network of like-minded schools.
